The 1st International Employers Awards was held last November 2002 at the Malacanan Palace (Manila) where IPAMS had the most number of principals given recognition by the Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and Secretary of Labor and Employment Patricia A. Sto. Tomas.

The most notable event of the ceremonies was the Presidential Awards of Distinction given by Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to major employers worldwide, by the same token as Presidential Proclamation Numbers 199 & 270.

Landbased and maritime employers were given recognition for their utmost selflessness and compassion for the Filipino worker. Among these distinguished employers were IPAMS' principals:
