  • A Degree in Optometry and a recognized professional certification (Doctor of Optometry)
  • Registration license from your home country (and the country most recently employed in, if applicable.
  • At least 6 months experience in a similar role. Prefer candidates who are currently working for an Optic brand.

Task Description:
  • Responsible for conducting eye examinations, contact lens assessments, production of order & aftercare. Offer an ongoing & consistently high level of customer service & satisfaction in a clean & tidy eye test environment.
  • Responsible for Initial eye test, Visual Field Screening, contact lens wear & care in a professional, accurate & customer friendly efficient manner.
  • Ensure a comprehensive handover to dispenser & clearly record all customer details/results at all times.
  • Responsible for any clinical duties such as initial exam, visual field screening, & contact lens wear & care in a professional manner.
  • Demonstrate utmost flexibility with respect to unscheduled eye appointments (walk-ins) to maximize the number of eye examinations per day.
  • Advise customers on best products to meet their personal & prescription requirements whilst promoting latest offers/promotions. Ensure all products meet the
    required standard.
  • Explain all examination procedures to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Recommend all available products and services in order to achieve a fully informed customer.
  • Maintain highest standards of presentation in all optometry areas & throughout the Store to enhance customer care.
  • Advise customer on ‘best’ products to meet their personal & prescription requirements whilst promoting latest offers/promotions.
  • Continuously meet/exceed sales conversion & examination.
  • Maintain focus on customer comfort, satisfaction & understandable
  • Participate in all aspects of laboratory work with the highest standards & check all work for accuracy.
  • Participate in all aspects of laboratory work including use of all glazing equipment.
  • Ensure all spectacles & appliances meet the required standards.
  • Check all completed jobs against original prescription copy to ensure full accuracy of final product.
  • Assist in repairs of customers’ spectacles where necessary.
  • Ensure all dispensing products meet the required standard through constant communications with relevant departments.
  • Maintain & follow up of all customer records.
  • Clearly record all customer details/results at all times.
  • Keep customers informed of delivery & changes of any sort that require customer consent.
  • Carry out reminder calls for eye examination appointments.
  • Ensure customer follow-up calls to include progressive/contact lens checks etc.
  • Ensure a fitting of spectacles at time of collection & make required adjustments.
  • Ensure a comprehensive handover to dispenser in order to achieve consistent information for the customer.
  • Check all products before issuing to patient.
  • Participate in making adjustments at final fitting point.
  • Participation of fitting spectacles at customer collection.
  • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction & comfort at all times.
